Charlotte's Home VineyardAlexander Valley - 45 acres, established 1971, replanted 1991 and 1994Tucked between a bend in the Russian River and Alexander’s Crown, the deep soils and gravel pockets of this vineyard favor sauvignon blanc grapes. Named after Rod's wife, Charlotte's is harvested in several passes: The gravel areas first, which ripen readily and provide ripe pear and melon character, then the later-ripening vines on deeper soil that provide lively crisp citrus flavors. Charlotte's Home Vineyard is the heart of our Charlotte's Home sauvignon blanc.
